| Salah seorang tahanan Penjara Pudu, Khong Yen Chee, telah melukis mural di dinding luar penjara sepanjang 860 kaki dan setinggi 14 kaki. Beliau mengambil masa setahun untuk menyiapkannya, menggunakan kira-kira 2000 liter cat. Ia direkodkan di dalam Guiness Records sebagai mural terpanjang di dunia. This conservation statement is the first step in addressing these issues and will be used to support and initiate further listing application and consultation. It sets out Pudu Jail’s heritage attributes and looks into its protection while allowing appropriate development. The walled prison, located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, has witnessed the city’s growth since 1895. Its integral role was when it was used as a P.O.W camp centre during the Japanese Occupation.
